Pathways to Housing is an "evidence-based practice," which means that multiple research studies have reported that the program has a consistently significant positive impact on its target population and that there are few or no negative effects. The evidence that supports this is made up of a wide range of studies conducted by an array of investigators in different cities. Pathways staff conducted some studies; in others, Pathways staff collaborated with independent university researchers. In some cases, independent researchers operating under contracts issued by government agencies or universities conducted the studies. Many of these studies and evaluations are listed below. Additional information can be found at the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices.
